Melvin Floyd Pook
Melvin Floyd Pook was called home to be with his Lord early in the morning of July 19th, 2017. Melvin was born on July 6, 1937 at Emmett to Veva and Gerhard Pook, and resided in Emmett his entire life.
He graduated from Emmett High School in 1955 and joined the United States Air Force. Melvin was stationed in Germany as a radio operator and flew to many places. Upon returning, he met and fell in love with Irma Irene Kirkpatrick. They married on January 15, 1961.
He was the father of three wonderful children Dawn, Scott, and Tami.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his devoted wife, Irma, all three of his children, Dawn (Terry), Scott (Kim) and Tami (Rich); 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; his brother, Harold (Janet) Pook, a sister, Barbara Malone; and many nieces and nephews.
