Melvin Elsworth Aldridge, Jr. better known as “Chico” entered into eternal rest on Wednesday December 4, 2018.

     Melvin was born to the late Melvin Aldridge, Sr. and Josephine Newcomb Aldridge. “Chico” as he was affectionately called was raised in the small town of Hurlock, Md alongside of 10 other siblings. He attended Dorchester County public schools and then joined the Army where he served 6yrs and was later honorably discharged. After leaving the military he worked a few odd jobs before working at the Acme Market in Hurlock. After the closing of the company he began working for Shiloh Grain in East New Market where he stayed employed for 20+ years until his retirement.

     Melvin leaves to mourn, his beloved wife Arlene Aldridge (Hurlock, Md). Children: Nicolette Green (David) Seaford, De, Stefan Aldridge (Dover, De), Mitisha Wallace (Hurlock, Md), Bryhiem Aldridge (Cambridge, Md), Miniah Aldridge (Hurlock, Md). Grandchildren: Charelle Neal (Edward), Vermont Bolden (Angela), Amear Talley, Amina Johnson, Makhai Palmer, great-granchildren: Kennedy Bolden, Carter Neal. Siblings: Rosemary Green (Federalsburg, Md), Margaret Jones (Hurlock, Md), Christine Simms (Derek) Cambridge, Md, Oletha Aldridge   (Hurlock, Md), Brenda Aldridge (Federalsburg, Md), Laverne Simms (Vincent) Hurlock, Md, Robinson Aldridge (Cambridge, Md), Jerome Aldridge (Baltimore, Md) 4 sisters-n-law, &5 brothers-n- law.

     Best friends: Dorsey Nichols, Fred Mouring. Special nephew, William Collins. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

     In addition to his mother and father he was preceded in death by a brother Charles Aldridge and a sister Delores Aldridge.
