Mel Queen, was born on October 22, 1941, in Harvey, IL, the son of Oliver and Edith (Davis) Queen. He served in the US Army from 1959-1963.
After moving to Denver, CO he was employed by Coors in Golden, CO for 29 years from 1972-2001. On November 27, 1997, he married Jan Lind in Key West, FL. Later when he retired to Florida he worked at Foxfire Golf Course in Naples, FL which he loved. The most important things in his life are his family, his beautiful wife and playing golf.
He is survived by his wife, Jan Lind, Wheatridge, CO; daughters, Tracy Queen, Lone Tree, CO and Lorna Kahn, NV; grandchildren, Devin Queen, Ethan Johnson, Jaylyn Cox, Shaina Cox, Macy Cox, Derek Cox, Barry Linden; step-children, Cheri (Eric Snelgrove) Linden, Denver, CO, David Cox, Highlands Ranch, CO, Billy (Shelly) Cox, Westminster, CO and Dawn Johnson, Naples, FL.
