Well, it had to happen sooner or later. Now the pigs have flown and the fat lady has sung. My name is M. Anderson Maxey, Jr., better known as Andy and, you guessed it, I died at the age of 89. I was born on October 26, 1934 in Suffolk, Virginia and I died on August 17, 2024. Make no mistake, it was fun while it lasted, but all good things have to come to an end. As they say, “Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside totally worn out and exclaiming, ‘Wow, what a ride!’” I also like “You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.”I particularly want to take this opportunity to thank my cousins, Thorn Maxey and Brad Maxey for their help and care in my declining days.In the future, I can be found at my new permanent residence in the Cedar Hill neighborhood. I am joining my parents, Hazel Walker Maxey and M. Anderson Maxey and sister, Mary Frances Maxey, whom already reside there. R.W. Baker Co.
