Melva Jean “Jeanine” Dickey, 87, of Boise, Idaho, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 after enduring a stroke.
On November 21, 1927, Jeanine was born in Garfield, Utah. Her parents are David John and Elvira Ann Holfeltz. Jeanine has been preceded in death by her brother Calvin, older sister Eva, and a younger brother Bud. Her younger sister, Carolyn Dobson resides in Farmington, Utah.
Jeanine was married to Hilton Craig Dickey for twenty-four years. She is now reunited with him. Jeanine and Hilton resided in Meridian during the majority of their marriage.
Jeanine was a nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital for most of her working career. Quietly taking care of people was one of Jeanine’s many strong traits.
Jeanine has four children with her first husband Lloyd Gale Chynoweth; Dan, Ron, Jeff (deceased), and Linda. She has three grandchildren: Anthony Chynoweth, Travis Boyle, and John Chynoweth. She has five great grandchildren: Alexandra, Ryan, Anthony, and Alana (their father is Anthony), plus Riley (her father is Travis). And she has one great great grandchild Eva (her mother is Alexandra).
