Melody Whitfield, 64, resident of Columbus passed away Sunday August 6, 2017 at Mimbres Memorial Hospital. Melody was born January 23, 1953 in Austin, Minnesota to Rolland and Ruth Ann Albright. She was a chemical dependency counselor in Minneapolis, Minnesota and later enjoyed travelling and sightseeing. She has been a resident of Columbus for about 10 years and was a volunteer at the Pancho Villa State Park for the last 9 years.
She is survived by her husband, AJ Taylor of Columbus; sons, John Albright of Florida, Shane Whitfield of Minnesota; daughter, Lacrecia Whitfield of Deming; brothers, Brian, Ray and Randy Albright and sisters, Mary Ann St’Aoro, and Barb Albright all of Minnesota; and 8 grandchildren.
