Melody J. Lowery, age 51, of Kensington, died Friday, June 01, 2012 at her home following a battle with cancer. She was born October 27, 1960 in Alliance, Ohio, a daughter of Bryan and Barbara (West) Grubbs. Melody had been employed at the Essex of Salem as a STNA for 6 years. She was a member of the Bethesda Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her parents, two sons, Scott (Aneissa) Randal and Cody Lowery; a daughter, Kaley Lowery; a sister, Marsha (John) Rutledge; and a brother, Rusty (Lisa) Grubbs. Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Frank and Evelyn Grubbs and AJ and Evie West.
