Melissa Lynn Parrott, 49, of Boerne, Texas passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.
Melissa was born on May 26, 1972 in Hardin County, Kentucky to Barbara Ann Goodman and Walter Dean Parrott. Melissa was a small-town girl with a deep passion for animals, country living, and family memories. She was fiery, sassy, and full of life and passion.
Melissa’s passions, hobbies, and happy place could be found in numerous places growing up. When she was younger that place was barrel racing, trotting the trails in peaceful pastures and creating ambitious memories with friends. As she got older, she found peace with her grandkids, her dogs, a warm fire, and of course her coffee.
Melissa was always at the center of our family’s laughter and spent her time here as a selfless angel always caring more for others. Her charismatic attitude and selfless character helped set an example for what we could all strive to be. A teacher of love and a place of comfort. She was a soft touch to heal your pain and a calm voice to help navigate your struggles. She was a light that kept you smiling and a cool breeze that kept you happy.
Melissa is survived by her two sons, Christopher Wood (Heather) and Nikko Wood; her grandchildren, Autumn, Adeline, and Aria; her sister, Tammy Fenton; her brother, Chuck Circle; her aunt, Fredia Jones; and many other close family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Ann Goodman; and her grandparents, Henry Dawson Jones and Dorothy Luisa Hunt-Jones.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards all the family and friends who have reached out and shared their messages, thoughts, and prayers. Melissa was such an honorable woman who had a hand in touching so many lives, and it’s a breath of fresh air to get to see that today as she now breathes happily in heaven.
