Melissa A. Gollnick of Mt. Laurel, formerly of Burlington Township, passed away on Thursday, January 31, at Samaritan Hospice Inpatient at Virtua Mt. Holly at the age of 35. She was a graduate of Holy Cross High School Class of 1995 and graduated from York College of Pennsylvania with an English Degree in 1999. She was an avid reader and writer from a very young age, and had recently shared her experiences in Living Beyond Breast Cancer’s “Writing the Journey” series.

Melissa was proud to be named a Pacesetter in October’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk, her team raising over $6,000. Melissa was a devoted Phillies fan and enjoyed summers on Long Beach Island. Her greatest passion, however, was spending time with her loving family.

She worked as an Administrative Supervisor for The Detectives Private Investigators, Inc. in Burlington for 13 years. Beloved daughter of Michael and Margaret “Peggy” (nee:Bociulis); granddaughter of Robert Bociulis (Winifred); predeceased by maternal grandmother Regina Bociulis and paternal grandparents William and Anna Marie Gollnick; dear sister of Michael (Laura) Gollnick, Kathryn (Christopher) Bertolino; loving aunt of Alexa Hope, Jack Patrick Gollnick; niece of Regina Bociulis, Joanne (Thomas) Kaupas, William (Carole) Gollnick. Also survived by loving cousins and numerous devoted friends.
