Melinda Jane Burns
Born July 9th 1940 Entered into rest June 30th 2022
Today our hearts broke, we lost a wife, mother, grandmother mentor, sister and friend.
Her unconditional love sustained us throughout our lives, even though we new this day would come. We never realized how intense it would be. Melinda was united with other family members as well as her 1st born child, she passed from a heart attack at Swedish Medical in Englewood Colorado, her son Matthew Burns, son Douglas Burns, daughter Cathy Burns and Cheryl Burns at her side.
Our mother demonstrated 1 Corinthians 13:4-13, her love never failed, it was kind, never envious or rude nor provoking, it bears all things she spoke no evil.
The spark in her eyes were for her children and grew brighter with each Grand child and great grand children.
Melinda Jane Burns was born to James & Alice Allison, in Westerville, Ohio both are deceased. On July 31st 1959 she married the love of her life Thomas Eugene Burns in Englewood, Ohio.
Melinda is survived by her siblings 7 brothers and 3 sisters: Jimmie Allison, Bob Allison, Skip Allison, Doug Allison deceased, Russell Allison, Tim Paul Allison, Donnie Joe Allison, Rosemary Stikeleather, Deb Sue Brown, Martha Allison; 6 Children; Thomas Eugene Burns ll deceased, Douglas Trent Burns, Cathleen Faith Burns, Lora Lynne Wellborn, Cheryl Jane Burns, Matthew Jay Burns as well as 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Mom we will miss your infectious laugh and smile, and the love you gave us, most of all we miss your voice and you!!
