Melda A Eberle of Chandler, AZ (formerly of Neola, WV) passed away March 10, 2021 after a very short battle with cancer.  Melda was born February 12, 1938 in Crooksville, OH to Marvin and Ethel Barker. She was the youngest of five children and was predeceased by three brothers: Tom, John and Ed and a sister, Ruth.  Melda graduated as valedictorian of Deavertown High School in 1956.  She was married to John Witmer “Jack” Eberle in 1957 and graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1961 with a B.A. in Music.  She received her M.A. in Education from Marshall University in Huntington, WV.

Melda was a wonderful mother of five children.  She spent her entire life working and sacrificing her own needs for the needs of others.  She spread kindness and goodness every where she went and left a positive imprint on the people’s lives that knew her. 

Melda was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Jack Eberle and a daughter, Rebecca Eberle Reza. She is survived by her children: Eva Blake (James) Scottsdale, AZ; Matthew Eberle (Donnalee) Chandler, AZ; Sarah Easton (Andy) Lewisburg, WV; and Deborah Shah, Fayetteville, NC.  Melda had 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Melda’s body has been laid to rest at the Henry Eberle Cemetery in Mt. Joy, PA with her husband, Jack, but her spirit is present with Jesus.
