Meladie Naumann, 61, died in her home Friday, March 14, after a courageous fight against lung cancer. Meladie was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, as well as a talented artist and gardener.
Meladie is survived by her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter, Melissa, Mark and Madeline Dupre of Austin, Texas; her sisters Becky Drakos of Newnan and Charlotte Ann Smith of Austin; her father Edmund Wister Shannon of Kerrville, Texas; her nieces Rebecca Gaddis of Newnan, Krista Smith of Austin, Jennifer Foust of Sweetwater, Texas, Lauren Phillips of Charlotte, North Carolina; her nephews Brian Nichols of Hempstead, Texas, and Blake Craighead of Charlotte; her dear friend David Frank; and LeRoy Naumann.
