Megan Leigh Jones, 30, passed away peacefully on June 14th , 2022 after a 2 year battle with breast cancer. She was born on December 17th , 1991 in Louisville, Kentucky to Keith and Joyce Jones. She was a 2010 graduate of South Oldham High School.
Megan was an avid sports fanatic. She had a special love for UK basketball and was the biggest cheerleader for her sisters. She was a five time Special Olympic State Champion in both softball and basketball.
watching Survivor, taking naps, and going on walks with her beloved dog Paco. Her hugs, thoughtfulness, and contagious smile touched many hearts.
She is survived by her parents Keith and Joyce, sister Lauren and brother in law Daniel, sister Sydney and brother in law Cody, grandmother Shirley, niece Rosaleigh, nephew Isaac, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. We would like to thank Megan’s caregivers Ellen, Sue, Dolly, and Donna for all their support and love.
Megan was our sunshine because she brought light and joy wherever she went.
