Marguerite Mary “McGee” Tondora, age 72, lifelong resident of Milford and beloved wife of Frank Tondora, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Milford Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in New Haven on February 12, 1942, she was the daughter of the late William and Viola Granitto Ryan. McGee was a graduate of Laurelton Hall and The Johns Hopkins Hospital School of Radiologic Technology. Prior to raising her family, McGee worked at Stamford Hospital. She returned to work at Milford Hospital for several years before working for the Orthopedic Group of Milford for 20 years, retiring in 1997. A warm, engaging and active woman, McGee coached softball and basketball, enjoyed golfing, badminton and Mah Joong. She was a member of the Badminton Club of New Haven, past president of Grassy Hill CC Women’s Assn. and President Elect of the Woodhaven CC Women’s Assn. McGee’s positive spirit and sense of humor, love of family and friends and her kindness and compassion will be remembered.
In addition to her husband Frank of 51 years, she is survived by her children; Frank Tondora, III and his wife Janis of Milford, Lauren Murray and her husband Michael of Milford, Lisa Blaha and her husband Jonathan of Alexandria, VA, and seven cherished grandchildren, Hayley, Mick, Hannah, Caleb, Zachary, Rylee and Maren.
