Passed away Sunday morning June 25, 2017. Maynard was born August 5, 1946 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Boyd and Hertha (Radseck) Marr. During the Vietnam War, he served with the U.S. Army. He had also been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with Kalamazoo Stamping and Die for 22 years, retiring in 2001.
He loved to hunt and fish (as he was in many tournaments) and have a garden. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Jeri J. Marr on October 5, 1997. Maynard is survived by his longtime companion, Joyce Swinehart of Mattawan; a brother, Norman (Laura King) Marr of Kalamazoo; and 3 other siblings; 4 children, Kristy (Tim) Spiech of Lawton, Kimberly (Glen Heggie) Swinehart of Kalamazoo, Katie Swinehart of Gainesville, FL, and Matthew Swinehart of Mattawan; 5 granddaughters, Kayla, Emma, Mia, Hannah, Ava and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
