May Belle Robb, age 103, longtime area rancher from Hidalgo County passed away Friday September 18, 2009 at Sunshine Haven Nursing Home in Lordsburg.

She was born May 8, 1906 in Ysleta, El Paso County, Texas to Pruitt Pearl and James Dominy. In March of 1926 she married Tedd Robb in Phoenix, AZ. May graduated from high school and years later, in 1951, they moved to southwestern New Mexico where she was active in community affairs in Rodeo and was a charter member of the Laveen, AZ CowBelles. She was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Dunn, Weatherford, Tx; 2 granddaughters, Sandra Jacobs, Belen and Pamela Prewitt, Rodeo; 1 grandson, David Kirk, Plano, TX; her great-grandchildren include Bunch Swift, Robb Jacobs, Cindy Sedillo, Michael Jacobs, Travis Swift, Katie Umphres, Holly Prewitt, Caylon and Derick Kirk. Great-great- grandchildren are Shalyn Jacobs, Emory Sedillo, Makayla Jacobs, Jace Jacobs, Randylea Sedillo, Garrett Jacobs, Brent Umphres, Tell Swift and Tom Umphres; also surviving are a neice, Helen Cook and 2 nephews, Gale Dominy, Adolph Pendenges and many other nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Pearl and James Dominy; husband, Tedd Robb, who died March 11, 1966; 2 daughters, Pearl Robb Swift and Madaline Robb and 2 brothers and a sister.
