That wasn’t a total solar eclipse the afternoon of 8-30-2021. The dimming was the world losing some of it’s luminosity after the bright and brilliant light that was Maxwell Stuart Henderson, age 28 , of Des Moines passing away suddenly and quite unexpectedly.

Maxwell entered this world 1-28-1993 much the same way he lived his life: just plain cool and collected. He then commenced teaching his very young mother and father how to be parents. At the age of 4, he was awarded and recognized as a hero for saving his mother’s life and enjoyed a brief period as a local celebrity that included a spot on the local news.

Max graduated from North High school and Central Academy studying Horticulture Science. Following his high school graduation he attended DMACC. He obtained a variety of career roles across many different job industries, always working hard and showing off his resounding work ethic.

Maxwell enjoyed carried genres of music, movies and literature. He trained in the martial arts and was a physical fitness enthusiast. Many considered him the most considerate and generous person they ever met. He relished a good laugh and loved a good conspiracy theory (allegedly). His tastes ran toward the exotic and eclectic yet he was so easy to please. He is an old soul often declaring he was born too late.

Though God decided he was needed for some other purpose Maxwell’s departure tore a hole through the hearts of those that loved him, most especially his parents: Michelle Griffith of Newton, IA and Scott Henderson of Des Moines, IA. To say that he will be missed doesn’t begin to Express their loss.
