Ogden – Maxine W. Dewey, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and soon to be great-grandmother, slipped away very quietly, just like she lived, at her home on Thursday, May 19, 2016, due to diabetic complications.
Maxine was born on October 6, 1948 in Ogden, Utah to Herman and Winona Dagsen. She was raised in Ogden and graduated from Ben Lomond High School. She married Gary Lee Dewey on December 26, 1969 in Elko, Nevada. In September of 1981 they were sealed for time and all eternity in the old Ogden Temple. She was a devoted life partner to her husband. You always saw them side by side.
Throughout her life she was always family oriented. Her children are shining examples of the type of loving and devoted mother and grandmother that she was. She loved to make things and share them. Her projects are now her loved ones treasures.
Surviving are her husband Gary; daughter Debbie; son Kurtis; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchildren (due to be born in November). Also surviving are two brothers, three sisters, numerous brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; aunts; uncles; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; one brother-in-law; one sister-in-law; four nephews and two nieces.
