Maxine Wilmoth, 91, of Woodland Ave., Clarksburg passed away Wednesday, December 01, 2010 following an extended illness. She was born May 28, 1919 in Clarksburg and was the daughter of the late Benjamin Lefkowitz and Charlotte “Lottie” Black Lefkowitz. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Glen Wilmoth in January of 1999. Mrs. Wilmoth is survived by one daughter Barbara Ann Falkenstine of Leesburg, VA; one granddaughter, Valerie Hollis (Spencer) of Bethesda, MD; and three great grandchildren, Nicholas (13), Maccabi (2) and Ainsley (2). She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Harvey Falkenstine, and five brothers and sisters: David Lefkowitz, Willard Lefkowitz, Bernice McCauley, Selby Lefkowitz and Seymour Lefkowitz. Mr. & Mrs. Wilmoth at one time owned and ran the Clay Street Market. Mrs. Wilmoth then went to work for many years as a salesperson at Freidlanders. For the past 28 years she volunteered at the Clarksburg Senior Citizen Center, which allowed her to spend time with and stay connected to her many friends.
