Maxine V. Croston, 87 of West Hill Community, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Grafton City Hospital , with her loving family and friends by her side. She was born in Grafton, March 21, 1928, a daughter of the late Leslie and Ency Kennedy. Her husband Leo Croston, preceded her death January 14, 1993.
Maxine worked in several different places in her life from Michigan, Ohio, she was a cook for the Taylor County Board of Education. Cleaned houses and loved people and talking to every body she never meet a stranger.
She is survived by one daughter; Tonia Miller and husband Curt, three granddaughters; Jody Mayle and husband Tuke, Willa Greathouse, and Fiancé John Mayle, Penny Sheme all of Grafton, two grandsons; Kevin Miller and wife Jen, Tommy Sheme all of Grafton, eight great grandchildren; Hunter Greathouse, Britney Sheme, Heather Sheme, Brandon White, Shelby White, Levi Miller, Landon Miller, Lawson Miller. Two great great grandchildren; Gunner and Ej.Several nieces , nephews, and lots of good friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter; Audrey Sheme, son-in-law Tom Sheme, two brothers; Elwood Kennedy, Jim Kennedy, one sister, Meldia Kennedy, one sister-in law; Jose Kennedy.
