Maxine Ray Wilson, 89, Anderson, passed away March 7, 2011, at Community Hospital, Anderson after an extended illness.
She was born August 3, 1921, in Livingston, Tennessee, and resided in Anderson since 1941. Maxine was a homemaker. When visiting, she would always say, “Let’s have a cup of coffee and something sweet”. She is survived by her daughter, Janie Bruce Stansberry of Anderson; sisters, Imogene Spurlin of Anderson and Marjorie Gipson of Louisiana; grandchildren, Jennifer Brian Miller, Matthew Stansberry, Teresa Wilson Ali, and Laura Wilson Flynn; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William “Bill” & Hallie Ledbetter Ray; husband of 30 years, Robert Dallas Wilson; son, Gary Wilson; brothers, Robert Ray and Junior Ray and grandchildren, Bradley Stansberry and David Wilson.
