Maxine R. Miller, 85, of Freeport, died Monday, December 30, 2013, at the home she lived in for 85 years, surrounded by her family. Born October 5, 1928 she was the daughter of Fred H. and Martha (Dittman) Kochsmeier. She married Donald O. Miller September 10, 1947 and he died November 27, 2007.
Maxine worked at Freeport Senior High School for 12 years and then at Southland Veterinary Clinic.Her memberships included St. John United Church of Christ, their Tau Alpha Circle and Friends Forever Humane Society.
Surviving are her daughter, Susan (Michael) Feagan of Freeport; her son, Kurt D. (Susan) Miller of Pearl City; four grandchildren; one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Craig; one brother and one sister.Cremation rites have been accorded.
