Maxine M. Miller Blacklock was born on March 22, 1923 in Salem, Missouri to Arthur and Bertha Thompson. She was the fifth child of eleven. Maxine passed away on November 17, 2016 in Taft, California. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Charles Robert (Bob) Miller; oldest son, Jaye Miller; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Miller; eight of her siblings; and her second husband, C.W. Blacklock. Left to remember her with love and respect are her son, Charles Edward (Eddie) Miller; grandson, Eric Miller (Sandra); granddaughter Melinda Anne Hames; sister, Melva Terrill (Joy); brother, Larry Thompson (Pat); step-daughter, Carol Nuckles (Jimmy); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She will be remembered as best wife, mother, grandmother, friend and homemaker ever. The family sends a special thank you to the ladies at Westside Senior Care in Taft. They are Amy, Cindy, Dee Dee, Kendra, Marily and Sillai; and the Optimal Hospice ladies, Kim, Kitty, Laurie, Michelle and Phyliss. The family truly appreciates the kindness, compassion and care they all gave to our family.
