GARNER, MAXINE MAE GEDDES 5/12/1925 – 11/16/2018
Maxine M. Garner, of Littleton, Colorado, passed away November 16, 2018. She was 93. Maxine is
survived by one brother, John Geddes (wife Joyce), two sons, Gary (wife Linda), Glen (wife Pat), and one
daughter, Joan. Maxine is also survived by two grandchildren, David and Rebecca.
Born in Proctor, Colorado, to Frank Geddes and Agnes (Sally) McBride Geddes on May 12, 1925, Maxine
was the oldest of six children and survived four other siblings, Betty, Thelma, Nancy, and Delbert.
The family later moved to Ogden, Utah where Maxine was introduced to Jack Keith Garner of North
Ogden, Utah. They were married on May 23, 1949.
During their long and happy marriage, Maxine and Jack lived in Ogden, Utah; Roy, Utah; Littleton
Colorado; Slidell, Louisiana (North of New Orleans); and then back to Littleton, Colorado where Jack
passed away on August 26, 2002.
Highly skilled in cooking and baking, Maxine became a professional cake decorator and taught cake
decorating classes in the communities where she lived.
An avid reader, Maxine also enjoyed watching “gentle” movies and musicals, and always loved being with family and friends. Our “Little Sweetie” will be truly missed by all who knew her.
