Maxine M. Ebeling, 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 11, 2015, at Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Carl E. Ebeling, Jr., who died in 1981.

Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Ezra P. and Caroline (Baer) Kunkle. She was a bookkeeper at Fritch Oil Company for many years. Maxine was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bethlehem and the Young Matrons at the YWCA. She volunteered with the American Red Cross, and with Dr. Mary’s Missionary Group at church. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, her bowling leagues, playing in card groups, and playing Scrabble. But most of all, she enjoyed being with her grandchildren.

Survivors: daughters Carlene Sayenga and her husband Donald of Arizona, Linda Weaver and her husband Walter of Fogelsville, Lucille “Rusty” Sotzing of Delaware; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Bryn Enright, her sister Eleanor McCorkell, and her brother Dalton Kunkle.
