Maxine Loynachan was born October 24, 1928 to David and Leona (Williams) Kilts in Neola, Iowa.

Maxine passed from this life, November 16, 2013 at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola, Iowa at the age of 85 years.

Maxine graduated from DeSoto High School in DeSoto, Iowa. She met and married Worth Edward Loynachan and to this union six children were born, Patty, Ed, Tom, Dennis, Paul and Matthew. Maxine and Worth resided on a farm with their family. They would plant a huge garden. She would can and freeze the produce.

Maxine worked in a factory in Chariton for a few years. Before that job, she worked as a Nurse’s Aide and when the plant closed, she went back into the medical field. She worked at the Chariton Manor, Griffin’s Nursing Home, and

the VA Hospital located in Knoxville, Iowa where she retired from. In Maxine spare time, she enjoyed embroidery, reading, and puzzle books. She also enjoyed watching football and the St.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Worth; her parents, David and Leona Kilts; her siblings, Hope Bates, Jean Vodenik, Clinton and Orville Kilts.

She is survived her children, Pat (Mike) Garoutte of Oskaloosa, IA, Ed (Kathy) Loynachan , Tom Loynachan , Dennis Loynachan, Paul Loynachan, all of Chariton, IA, and Matt (Didi) Loynachan of Des Moines, IA; and her sister, Carol Denny of Bondurant, IA; her grandchildren, Shelly Davis, Devon Axtell, Kristine Young, Kent Loynachan, Andrew Loynachan, and Sam Loynachan; eleven great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and family friends.
