Maxine Levada (Pierce) Howard was born in Somerset, Kentucky January 7, 1925. She enjoyed growing up on the farm in a family of seven children. There they had many family dinners with fresh milk and eggs and home canned food.
At age nineteen, Maxine moved to Cincinnati, Ohio with her brother and sister. On Fountain Square (in Grays Drug Store where Maxine was employed) she met Jack Howard who would be her husband for 62 years until Jacks death in 2008. Years before, Maxine cared for her mother Anita White until her passing at age 94.
Maxine had two children, Dr. Ben Howard and Betty Ogden, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Also Maxine has one surviving brother, Dr. John Pierce, his wife Jeanette and two other sister n laws, Jean Pierce and Louise Pierce, and many cousins, Pat Warren, Cheryl Rodgers and Jeana Smith to name a few.
