Maxine Hanlin passed away in her home in Three Oaks, Michigan on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at the age of 79. She is survived by her husband Grady, a son Gary (Lori) and a granddaughter Erin of Bridgman. She was preceded in death by her daughter Robin. Maxine was born in Chicago, the only child of Sarah and Ignatius Wiechecki and graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School.

In earlier years Maxine was involved in Cub Scouts holding weekly pack meetings in her home. She was an avid reader and a regular at the Three Oaks Library. In younger years she took up hunting and fishing and for many years joined the “guys” in annual deer hunting trips to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She was a charter member of the New Buffalo Steelheaders and, along with her husband, published the club’s newsletter.

Maxine also served as the Secretary of the organization. But first and foremost, Maxine was a loving wife and mother, dedicated to her family. She is loved and missed.
