Maxine E. (Cooper) Shelton, 83, went to be with her maker on Tuesday October 15, 2013 in Greenwood. She was a resident Greenwood and formerly of Indianapolis. Maxine was born Dec. 7, 1929 in Indianapolis to Alfred and Grace (Williamson) Cooper.
She retired from Merchants National Bank (PNC Bank) after 35 years of dedicated service.
She enjoyed painting and bingo. Maxine loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by two children, Susan (Gene) Wessel of Indianapolis and Robert (Shellia) Shelton II of Greenwood, sister, Barbara Mancini of Mississippi, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Shelton, a daughter, Deborah Shelton, four brothers and five sisters.
