She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Pearl (Signs) Jones; husband, Orrie in 1998; her infant son, Marvin; and twin sister, Nadine Mullihan.
She was a graduate of Mingo High School in 1932 and received her teaching certificate through normal training.
