Max LeRoy Rauch, age 84, of Cassopolis, died Sunday, December 5, 2021.
His life began January 25, 1937 in Berne, Indiana, the oldest of four children born to Ervin and Daisy Rauch. Max married Ruth Starr on January 5, 1980. After forty-one years, she preceded him in death.
Max and Ruth used to attend “old-style, mountain man” rendezvous in their younger days while living in Winchester, Indiana. He enjoyed deer hunting and camping. He liked seeing his grandkids and enjoyed visiting with them when they came to visit.
Max will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by two daughters, Nicole (Jon) Hilliard of Edwardsburg, Debra Barnes of Decatur, Indiana; one son, Scott (Penny) Rauch of Coldwater, Ohio; four grandchildren, Candra (Derek) Shady of Bluffton, Indiana, Cody Barnes of Decatur, Travis Brown of Decatur, Mikayla (Tyler) Fleck of Coldwater, Ohio; one sister, Carol Lacy of Van Wert, Ohio; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Ruth; two sisters, Sharon Rauch and Shirley Bash; three children, Rex, Brian, Karen; and one grandson, Cameron Barnes.
