Max L. Judkins, 93, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022, in Des Moines.
Max was born May 16, 1928, in Medora, IA, to Frank Leo and Agnes (Bales) Judkins. He married Maxine (Hockmuth) Judkins on June 5, 1948.
He served in the Army and was a Korean War Veteran. Max worked as a Manager for Allied Insurance for 43 years, retiring in 1990. He loved hunting, bowling, and fishing. He spent a lifetime on the golf course. Max also enjoyed rock and coin collecting. He was an avid reader and could solve any puzzle. His greatest joy and most important role was spending time with and spoiling his kids, grand kids, and great grandkids.
Max is survived by his daughters, Judy Judkins of Altoona, IA, Joni Arnett of Altoona, IA; grandchildren, Stacey Hull, Katie (Chris Idler) Hull, J.D. Arnett, Addy (Derek Scace) Arnett, Max Arnett; great-grandchildren, Ryan Hull, Lola Scace; nieces, Pammy, Deb, Dee.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Judkins; parents; brother, Charles LeRoy Judkins.
