Max D. Close, 89, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at 11:30 p.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital, Huntington, IN.
Mr. Close was born on September 16, 1926, in Bippus, IN, to Doyle and Evelyn (Brandenburg) Close. His parents preceded him in death. Max married Joanna J. Lambert in 1946. She preceded him in death on September 26, 2009.
Mr. Close was a Machinist with Air Research in Phoenix, AZ. He served in the United States Army during WWII.
Mr. Close is survived by one son, Jon (Joyce) Close, Tracy, CA; one daughter: Carol Proefrock, Huntington, IN; one sister, Linda (Gary) Brenneman; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Along with his wife and parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Connie Hendrick; and two brothers, Richard Close and Charles Close.
