Max A. Johnson, 60, Anderson, passed away January 25, 2011 at Community Hospital, Anderson after an extended illness.
He was born April 3, 1950 in Anderson, and resided in Anderson most of his life. Max was a retired school bus driver for Anderson Transit System, Inc. He was a member of A.B.A.T.E. and enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife whom he married August 3, 1991, Laura Penrod Johnson; sons, Max Johnson II Angie and Dutch Johnson; siblings, Peggy Sisson Terry, Ronald Johnson Teressa Debbie Larch, Franise Loveall, Teddie Alcoe and Becky Reed; cousin, Hannalora Poe Don; grandchildren, Sara & Nicole; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Chuck Sparks, Tim House, Tom Daily, Chris Holland and many others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted R. & Agnes Neff Johnson and brother, Darrell Stewart.
