Mavis Maxine (Treadwell) Hart, of Meriden, beloved wife of Thaddeus Hart, was born on March 8, 1959 in Hartford to Dorothy Mae (Treadwell) Henry of Hartford and the late Gilbert (Lloyd) Henry. She entered into the presence of the lord peacefully on June 13, 2012. She was a graduate of Hartford Public High school – Class of 1977 and worked at Travelers Insurance for several years until she relocated to Richmond, Virginia. Returning to Connecticut, Mavis continued to work in Insurance until the fall of 2010. Mavis’ past-times included dancing, exercising, shopping and instructing Aerobics classes. Mavis’ bubbly personality was infectious to everyone around her and her classy sense of fashion and loving nature will be deeply missed.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her two daughters, Natasha Duah (Nashua, NH) and Akua Duah (Meriden); one loving grandson, Jordan Tourjee, of Nashua, NH; one brother, Lloyd Henry (Junior) and wife, Kimberly Henry (Hartford); nine sisters, Mitzi Green (Bloomfield), Beverly Wallace (Hartford), Lisa Hightower and husband, Kenneth Hightower (Bloomfield), Sandra Eliason (Miami, FL), Jackquline Henry- Wells and husband, Richard (Meriden), Sonia Henry (West Hartford), Michele Jackson (Hartford) , Margie Hayes-Coleman (Cleveland , OH), and Sonya Dailey-Mckenzie and husband. Erral (Windsor). Her memory will also be carried on by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
