Peacefully transitioned on April 21, 2013 at the age of 79. Born in St. Ann’s, Jamaica, Mavis came to the United States in August 1967 for a better life. Her children, as well as other family members joined her in the years to follow. She worked at the Mayflower for 23 year prior to retiring. In her spare time she enjoyed making photo albums as gifts for baby showers, birthdays, weddings and other occasions. She looked forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas, as she knew she would have a wonderful time with her family. Her children knew that on Mother’s Day and her birthday, there would be a trip to Red Lobster for a celebration. Mavis leaves to cherish her memories, one brother Keith Brown (Joyce), children Adlyn McKie (George), Sandra Flemmings-Lyons (Fedrick), Andria Diggs (Gary), Earl Dennis (Denise), Errol Fuller (Jean) & Carlton Clarke, 20 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
