Mavis Bilbrey, 90, of Muncie, passed away September 24, 2014. She was born July 15, 1924 in Livingston, TN to the late Earl T. and Hattie Ann (Garret) Carter and was the former wife of William E. Bilbrey. Mavis worked for Western Electric for 11 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Ingalls Church of God and Pendleton First United Methodist Church.
She also enjoyed collecting dolls.
Mavis is survived by son Dugan (Judy) Bilbrey of Muncie; daughter Anneta Myrick of Livingston, TN; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughters Linda K. Cobble and Mary Jane Bilbrey; son Earl Bilbrey; brothers Earl D., Gearl, Robert, and Joe William Carter; and sisters Wanda Knoblock, Genevive Ramzey, and Carlene Thompson.
