Maurine Louise Fuhriman Moore, age 101, passed on to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, Oct. 8, 2010 at Diamond View Assisted Living in Meridian.
Maurine was born on Friday the 13th of July 1909 in Kuna, ID to George Washington and Mary Louise Fuhriman, the second child of nine children. Maurine’s mother and father moved to Kuna from Utah in 1908 to a homestead of 82 acres. She was raised on the ranch, attended school in a one room school house in earlier years and moved to Nampa, ID after the death of her father. She worked as a nanny and housekeeper until she graduated from Nampa High. She then went out in the working world and became a professional cook. The final job she held before marriage and becoming a mom was cook and housekeeper for “Gambles” on Warmsprings Ave. which is currently “The Ronald McDonald House”.
Mom enjoyed her life with her family and retired life in Lowman, ID where dad built their retirement home and lived till she was 78.
Maurine will be remembered for the witty good-natured and remarkable lady that she was. She was an outstanding mom and dotting wife. She will be missed!
Maurine was preceded in death by her eternal companion, Raymond (Ray); her parents; two sister; five brothers; a beloved son, Raymond, Jr.; and her son-in-law, Werner.
