Maurice “Morris” E. Hering, 90, of Old Lycoming Twp., died Thursday, June 4, 2009 at The Gatehouse Hospice.
Maurice and his wife, the former Bettie J. Liddic, would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on June 25th.
Maurice was an Army veteran serving during WWII.

Born July 28, 1918 in Montgomery, he was the son of Harry and Grace Meckley Hering.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters, Patricia A. McMunn, Cindy M. (Thomas) O’Connor both of Hughesville; Kathy E. (Bill) Karschner of Muncy; grandchildren, Albert (Erin) Stroble of Collegeville; Tammie (Mark) Hartland of Montoursville; Heather (Mel) Briggs and Amy (Wes Brink) McMunn both of Williamsport; Matthew Karschner of Montoursville and five great grandchildren.
Maurice was predeceased by two brothers and a sister.
