Mac McCarthy, 84, passed away peacefully in Melbourne, FL.  He is survived by his children Tim and his wife Dana of Lake Worth, FL; Kellee and Russel of Caldwell, NJ, grandchildren Justin, Daniel, Shaun, Sienna, Tyler and Chase, niece and nephew Suzanne and John and cousin Frank.  Mac was a loving husband, father, uncle, cousin, grandfather and friend to everyone.

Mac lost his beloved wife, Emily, just 8 days before he passed, theirs was a true love story.  His next greatest love was his family.  He was a dedicated, hard worker and lived to provide and protect those he loved. 

He had a long career at AT&T/Bellcore, in which he touched peoples’ lives in many ways, guiding them professionally and personally.  Mac led with intelligence, wit,
enthusiasm and humor in every situation. 

Mac came to Florida with his loving wife, Emily, to retire in the sunshine, enjoying days on the golf course and evenings with friends. He was a dedicated parishioner of St.
Mac was a Veteran and proudly served from 1963-1965 in Ft. Benning, GA. 

He is pre deceased by his beloved wife, Emily of 59 years.  Their love knew no bounds and they are together, eternally, his parents Maurice and Margaret McCarthy, his stepmother Josephine, his Aunts Ann and Rose, his step sisters Ruth and her husband Robert, and Ronnie and his cousin Michael. 

Military honors for Mac will commence 1:00 P.M.
