Maurice was born in Danbury, CT on February 20, 1921, a son of the late Eugene Sr. and Caroline (Saccomandi) Montesi. A life-long resident of Danbury, Maurice graduated from Danbury High School in 1939. As a young man Maurice worked as a hatter and was very active in local sports.
