Our loving mother and grandmother, Maureen Harris Relyea, 94 of Salt Lake City, UT, formerly of Boise, passed away Tuesday, April 14, in a SLC care center of natural causes. Maureen was born August 28, 1914 in Cardston, Alberta, Canada to Joseph Emer and Maudell Woolsey Harris.
Maureen married Russell A. Relyea in 1937 and from that union came three children. She is survived by her three children, Dr. Russell E. Relyea (Lucy), Pamela Horton Taylor (Ken), Gwen Anne Tanner (Gary); 15 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.
Maureen attended BYU and graduated from Utah State University where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. Maureen and Russell founded the Relyea Mortuary in Boise in 1950 and resided there until their retirement and move to Salt Lake City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell; her parents; and five sisters, Harriett, Edna, Gwen, Wilma and Joy.
