Maureen Ann (Emery) Baker Maureen A.Emery Baker, a native of Gilmore City Iowa, formerly of Portland, Maine, passed away peacefully at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House on April 2, 2014, with her daughters at her side.
After four years, she gave up her battle with lung cancer and now is at peace. Maureen was born in Carroll, Iowa on October 20, 1954 the second of five children. She graduated from Gilmore City High School and attended Kirkwood Junior College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was a loving mother and grandmother; is preceded in death by her mother, Kathryn, and brother Eric; and is survived by daughters, Meredith (Scott) Rousseau and Megan Baker, grandchildren Jackson, Caroline, and Sydney, and sisters Michelle (Jim) Ault, Paula (Bill) Purtzer, Lisa (Pat) Mc Larty, and Janet Emery, along with several nieces and nephews.
