Maudie Mae (Workman) Sims, 86, died peacefully in her sleep on Monday, October 15, 2012. She was born in Woodland Park, CO on December 31, 1925 to Jake and Maudie Mae (Mooney) Workman. She graduated from Woodland Park High School in 1943. She met and married the love of her life, Gilford Sims on September 23, 1944. They recently celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. Maudie was a woman who always spoke her mind. She will be missed by all who knew her. Maudie is survived by her sons, Jim (Linda) Sims, and John (Rose) Sims both of Corpus Christi, TX, and Joe (Debbie) Sims of Canon City, CO; nine grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Jack; her parents; sisters, Sis, Virginia, and Evelyn; and brothers, Charles and Bud.
