Maudell Smith, 99, of Shinnston passed away Monday, May 30, 2106 at Meadowview Manor.
She was born January 17, 1917 in Wyatt, WV; the daughter of the late Ersel and Gola Merrifield Parson.
Maudell is survived by two daughters, Diana Rollins of Shinnston, WV, Shelby Knoble of Newport News, VA; seven grandchildren, Regina Tichenor of Clarksburg, Paula Goodrich of Smithfield, WV, Julia Breed of Illionois, Laura Waters of FL, Rebecca Straw of Richmond, VA, Charles Smith of Conn, Jennifer Smith of GA; eleven great grandchildren, Kassie Stire of Bridgeport, WV, Courtney Welch of Clarksburg, WV; Diana J. Mayfield of Clarksburg, WV, Noah Lee Morris of Fairmont, WV, Joshua Ryan Morris of Pittsburgh, PA, Gavin William Goodrich and Ethan Goodrich both of Smithfield, WV; Katheryn Straw of Richmond, VA; Emily Waters of Gulf Breeze, FL; Sydney Breed and Sean Breed of IL; several great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; two special friends, Judy Knoble and Mary Martin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles John Smith, who passed in 1987; one son, Charles Sidney Smith; two brothers; four sisters.
