Matthew Scott Allison, 57, was called home to be with the Lord on May 19, 2016. Scott was a kind and gentle man who cared for others and dedicated his life to Christ, his family and America. His passion for Alabama football was legendary and he never missed a game. He could always be found at the A Club before a game visiting with teammates and coaches. He was born and raised in Florida where he attended Astronaut High School. He earned a full football scholarship to the University of Alabama and was a three-year letterman for the legendary Coach Paul “Bear” Bryant, proudly wearing his 1978 and 1979 National Championship rings. He was enshrined as a member of the Astronaut High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2001. Scott attended and graduated from Regent University School of Law in 1998 and was admitted to practice law in Florida the same year. In 2008 he was admitted to practice law in the State of Alabama. Scott was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Trussville.
