Matthew was born on May 10, 1970 in Peoria to James and Nancy (Powers) Rollings. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Illinois State University. Matthew served in the US Navy during Desert Storm, 1988 to 1992, and the US Army in Iraq, 2006 to 2008. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, watching sports, especially the White Sox, and most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Matthew is survived by his parents, James and Nancy, a daughter, Addyson Rosales, of Gilbert, AZ, a granddaughter, Aspyn Hermosillo, two sisters, Kaci Rollings, of Ottawa and Kari (Scott) Lazzarotto, of Oglesby, and six nieces and nephews, Josh Guerrero, and Coltyn, Trestyn, Dawsyn, Avalyn, and Pipyn Lazzarotto.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Pallbearers will be Mike Hansen, Joe Gama, Jimmy DeMoss, Ron Moran, Kevin Mailer, Scott Sesto, Keith Stahl, Darren Poundstone, and Jessie Eich.
