Matthew J. Hawkins, 55, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 10, 2013, at Ruth Lilly Hospice in Indianapolis. He was born May 27, 1958, in Valparaiso and worked as a landscaper. Matthew was a member of the Calvary Temple and loved woodworking, fishing, and camping.
He is survived by children: Amy Macy of Indianapolis; Sarah (Jamie) Reid of Bloomington; Christopher (Amanda) Hawkins of Greenwood; and Danielle Hawkins of Indianapolis; four grandchildren; mother Betty Hawkins of Indianapolis; brothers: James (Helen) Hawkins of NC; David (Kim) Hawkins of Valparaiso; and Phillip (Sharon) Hawkins of Indianapolis; sister Julie Garner of Brownsburg; and ex-wife Julie Hawkins of Waverly.
Matthew was preceded in death by his father Jack E. Hawkins; and brothers Robert and Jack Hawkins.
