Matthew Daleo, 78, of Ottawa died on Thursday, December 2, at Pleasant View. Mr. Daleo was born on Dec. 3, 1931, in Chicago, to Matthew J. and Gertrude (Litoborski) Daleo.
He received his B. S. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois. He was Sales Manager for American Maize (Cargill) until retiring in 1984. He married Gail C. (Wise) Purcell on October 3, 1982, in Kauai, Hawaii. He is survived by his wife, Gail; one daughter, Julie (David) Ferguson, of Green Sulfer Springs, West Virginia; two sons, Jeff (Pamela) Purcell, of St. Charles, and Mike Purcell, of Ocala, Florida; 7 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dolores, one son, and two children in infancy.
