Matthew Blake Tielking, 32, of Hazel Green, Alabama, passed away on Friday at Huntsville Hospital.
Matthew is survived by his son, Jackson Blake Johnson of New Market; His parents, Gary & Jan Tielking of Hazel Green; His brother, Dustin Tielking of Hazel Green; His nephew, Landon Edwards of New Market; His niece, Jada Tielking of Hazel Green, Al; His uncle and aunt: Howard & Anna Tielking; His aunt and uncle, Gaynell & Bob Strider; His uncle, A.J. Boyer; Four special friends: Shaun Tallent, Kristen Kennedy, and Ben Gentle all of Hazel Green and Jessica Snyder of Arab.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill & June Still of Hazel Green; Carlon & Edna Winsett of Hazel Green; Great-grandparents: Ferman & Ida Lorene Wren of Cullman; Johnny & Gracie Boyett of Hazel Green; His uncles: Butch Still, Tony Still, Al Still, and Andy Still, all of Hazel Green. His aunt, Sharon Boyer of Madison, AL – along with several other aunts and uncles.
Matthew grew up in Hazel Green and attended Hazel Green School. Matthew played soccer and baseball. Matthew loved Alabama football and attended Bethlehem Baptist Church growing up. He loved working and helping people and had done gutter work over the years and enjoyed asphalt. His favorite thing was riding with Shaun Tallent in the big rig where he got to see the east and west coasts.
Matthew had the biggest heart and was loved by so many. Most of all, he loved his son, Blake – his pride and joy.
